Carsten Korch, Founder
Originally from Denmark, Carsten returned to Peru in 2002 with his wife and eldest son. He started Living in Peru among other ventures in Peru. Before this, Carsten has worked in tourism, living in France, Sicily, and the U.S., and promoted bands like Metallica, Def Leppard and U2 for PolyGram Records (now Universal Music). Carsten loves pisco sours, Peru’s cuisine, and traveling with his family within Peru, a country that he believes is the land of opportunities.

Susana is passionate about building brands through sales, marketing and public relations. She has eight years of experience working with fashion brands and media companies in NYC and Peru, including writing and editing for LivinginPeru.com in 2011.
Dawn Brookes, Editor
Dawn Brookes is an archaeologist from Alberta, Canada who has been involved with archaeological projects in Peru since 2014. Today she lives in Lima and is completing her master’s in ancient Peruvian burials which will later turn into a PhD.

Flavia’s first love has always been traveling around the world: this was her main reason for becoming a professional in the tourism industry. Her expertise is in tailor-made trips around Peru, and she has a sharp eye and years of experience allowing her to suggest the best options to her clients so they will have the best time of their life in Peru. Jenny Bautista, Tour Guide
Jenny has been a tour guide and tour leader for more than ten years. She has traveled with tour groups across Peru, imparting her knowledge and passion for Peruvian history and culture. Jenny says, “my job is doing all the necessary things to create unforgettable moments for my travelers.”
Roy Rojas, Tour Guide
A tour guide since 2010, Roy chose this profession because it mixes all the things he likes: meeting new people, telling stories, outdoor activity and knowledge about his country, Peru. He says, “This doesn’t feel like a job, it’s a hobby because I really have a good time doing what I love to do.”
Sheila Christensen Jeanneau, Contributing Writer
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Sheila spent several years living in Denver, Colorado, while attending Regis University. She then moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she would stay for 11 years before moving with her Peruvian husband to live full-time in Peru in 2007. Inspired by the fantastic cooks in her Danish family, Sheila is an epicurean at heart and a dedicated food writer. In her free time, she volunteers at an orphanage, plays tennis and other sports, and loves exploring Peru’s incredible cuisine.
Marco Simola, Photographer
Marco is a professional photographer and native Italian. Since 2007 he has been living in Peru where he works with many international brands and NGOs. His photographs are sold worldwide through international agencies Demotix and Latin Photo.
